From 1996 to 2001, Andy conducted endangered species surveys for bats, birds, small mammals and reptiles throughout the eastern U.S. while working as a biologist and project manager for two different environmental consulting firms in Cincinnati, Ohio, 3D/International, Inc. and BHE Environmental, Inc.
Currently, Andy is a Fish and Wildlife Biologist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bloomington Ecological Services Field Office in Bloomington, Indiana. He primarily works on efforts to recover endangered species and consults with other federal agencies to ensure compliance with the Endangered Species Act. Andy recently completed a 5-year review for the federally endangered Indiana Bat. He also coordinates the biennial Indiana Bat winter population survey’s, and maintains the Service’s Indiana Bat Hibernacula Database.
Andy enjoys hiking, photography, gardening, and spending time outdoors with his wife and two children.
